Establish Your Baseline

UA COMBINE lets athletes of all levels show their skills in speed, agility, and football drills. It’s a great way to establish a baseline for their abilities and set meaningful goals for growth in the upcoming flag football season.

After they finish their season’s league or Levels Program, a follow-up combine shows them how they’ve grown by comparing results. This motivates them to set new goals and thrive on their journey of exciting growth during leagues and Levels camps, and UA Combines (growth checkpoints).

SHOES:

Athletes will need cleats, turf shoes, or running shoes (with good treads) and a mouthguard during the 1v1’s assessment station.

BELTS:

We ask that athletes bring their UA Flag Canada Flag Belts to their combine assessment.  If you do not have a flag belt (2-pop socket flag belt), please let the registration staff know during your initial check-in so that we can supply you a flag belt for your session. We ask that you return this flag belt to the registration desk after your combine session ends.

C) ARRIVAL & CHECK-IN:

Upon arrival, please check-in your athlete at the registration desk where they will receive their UA COMBINE T-shirt.

From there, our staff will provide you with a specified colour wristband for the group that you will be placed in for your combine session. After you have checked in, please wait by the field until a UA Flag Canada Member has blown the initial whistle for all UA athletes to join our coaches on the field to assign each group colour to their first station.

D) 1v1 ASSESSMENT IDENTIFICATION - QUARTERBACKS, RECEIVERS, DEFENSIVE BACKS:

Quarterback Assessment: If you wish to be assessed as a quarterback during the 1v1 assessment, please notify the registration desk upon check-in. Our UA Flag Canada staff will provide you with an additional wristband to identify you as a quarterback.

Non-Quarterback Evaluations: Athletes not being assessed as quarterbacks will be evaluated as both receivers and defensive backs during the 1v1 assessments to showcase their skills on both sides of the ball.

Group Assignments: We understand you may want to participate with a friend or family member, but assessment groups have been pre-arranged to ensure a smooth and effective combine experience. If you are not placed in the same group, we kindly ask that you remain with your assigned group on the day of the event.

When in doubt, please visit the registration table with the “ATHLETE CHECK-IN” sign colour to their first station.

E) SPECTATOR CODE OF CONDUCT

Please remain in the designated spectator areas outlined on the overhead map at both locations. This ensures a clear and safe space for players and evaluators.

To help your athlete(s) stay focused during the combine, please refrain from offering feedback to your athlete(s) until the session has ended. Our coaches and evaluators will offer guidance and support throughout the event.

F) PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY

Please note that photography and videography will be taking place to highlight and recap the event. If you prefer not to have your child photographed, please inform us in advance.

EVALUATION REPORTS via SKILLSHARK APP

UA Flag Canada will send out reports to athletes with their results via email after the combine. They can view their report as a shareable link via email, or create an account on the SKILLSHARK  app as an athlete and view any reports in their profile from the mobile app going forward.

These will provide athletes with their tangible baseline results so they can set goals and continue their development this winter season and beyond!
