Position Overview

Do you thrive in competitive sports and want to help young athletes excel? As a volunteer coach for NEXT Flag Football’s rep league, you’ll guide players aged 10-16 as they sharpen their skills, develop game IQ, and enjoy the thrill of high-level competition. NEXT leagues balance challenge and camaraderie, making them ideal for players seeking growth on and off the field. This role is perfect for experienced athletes, former players, or passionate volunteers eager to mentor the next generation of football talent.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and execute advanced practices that focus on skill refinement and strategy.
  • Motivate players to compete with integrity and effort.
  • Analyze game performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with parents, players, and other coaches to set goals.
  • Uphold league standards for sportsmanship and safety.
  • Experience We're Looking for

  • A clean background check.
  • Enthusiasm for competitive sports and mentorship.
  • Basic understanding of flag football rules and gameplay.
  • Experience Bonuses (Nice-to-haves)

  • Prior coaching experience, especially with competitive teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of offensive and defensive football strategies.
  • Ability to inspire and mentor young athletes.
  • CPR or first aid certification.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
